Mt Ebenezer Station Mt Ebenezer is located 250 kms south west of Alice Springs and was taken up by Harold Liddle in 1945. He was the second of pioneer William Liddle and his Aranda wife Mary. Mt Ebenezer was probably the first Central Australian Station to be owned by a person of Aboriginal descent. He sold to Ted Kunoth in 1951 who developed the property but had difficulty finding water. Kunoth built a Roadhouse to service traffic on the Ayers Rock Road. He sold to Alan Rogers of Tanami Transport who then resold to Fogarty Holdings in 1993 and the lease is now managed by David Fogarty and his wife Jackie Pietsch. |
